Pray for Japan

On Friday, 11th March 2011, Japan was hit by a massive 9.0 earthquake off the coast of Japan and caused a giant tsunami rolling northern eastern of the country. The disaster has shocked the whole world and caused so many deaths and still counting. Let's say a prayer for Japan and hope everything will be on track.

Gosh! It has been ages I didn't update my blog and here it comes. I did manage to do some freelance works and I'm overwhelmed one of those are published in SPACE magazine which Aziz Draim is the editor for the magazine. I would love to update those but my hardisc corrupted and I'll post another freelance work which I designed the logo for Bullah's brother in law. The design is quite simple (well to define me who believes less is more). I only drafted it once and it's accepted.

Aziz! I already altered your logo as what you requested me to change the color and font. I use Avant Garde font instead of Helvetica. But I think I like the no 2 one. Nvm, it's your logo. The choice is yours.

My former manager at Starbucks, Donny requested me to design his new logo for his company. Those are still in draft. And yet, he likes them all. And I choose the third logo from the above for him. Hope he likes the final touch.

When I was in JB, I used to work at Starbucks. Err.. Nak ada disclaimer ke?? I had the chance to expose my skills on A-Board (Ala.. Board yg kt depan Starbucks tuh). In other words, I was an 'artist' to manage and do all the chalk staffs on the A-Board plus Daily Offerings Board (Boleh dilihat di gambar di atas). Anyway, I did almost more than 50 paintings while I was working there. But only these what I've got from my hardisc. :(

Synergy was another client of mine, my very old friends from UTM asked me to design his new logo for his new company. I did 4 choices (which just tukar layout, composition and kaler sana-sini to each logo) for him and he chose my first logo to be his very first logo to the company.

So, after changing font, color here and there. This is the final product!

The process of creating an artwork is very important. By that process we learn how to enhance the logo meanwhile we learn how to make an artwork impressive. When I was a student, I was absorbed by this this abbreviation and until now I still remember it. It is B.A.S.I.C.

Aziz who is the E.D. of his own agency asked me to design a poster for his client. He wanted the poster look "party and party". After that he seems like not interested! :( Maybe my design is not 'party' enough. Hehehe!!! Despite, I learn something eh.

Another request came across when my super junior asked me to do a poster for Majlis Berbuka Puasa RH@25 last Ramadhan (Majlis berbuka puasa je nih). Well, as usual RH is an extravagant association and all things should be done wonderfully.

And he decided to use this (another alternative) to the function. And the function went well. Majority of us had made it and it was crazy! Miss you guys!

Last week Kas told me that my artwork (a Mila AF5's portrait) inside her new video clip, 'Gila'. I was momentarily shocked and impressed that she finally put my artwork inside her video as she promised. Hehehe!

Sabli Dahrin is one of my clients and also my dear friend. He asked me to design his new logo for his new photography studio. Plus the new layout of his business card. So I designed some proposal of the logos before his approval.
